Haley Aker

Academic Tutor

Hello! I’m Haley Aker. I grew up in San Diego and went to Del Norte High
School! I then attended the University of San Diego where I got my Bachelor’s in
Environmental and Ocean Sciences with minors in Biology and Philosophy. After
completing my undergraduate degree I worked in a cancer research lab in La Jolla
for a year! Currently, I am getting my Master’s in Marine Conservation from the
University of Miami, Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth
Science. My current research includes studying sharks and their parasites.
